Life MUSCLES at the Italian Oyster Fest in La Spezia

And the first festival dedicated to the Italian oyster, sustainable, delicious for everyone and it will be held from 6 to 8 October at the port of La Spezia – Calata Paita, area adjacent to the cruise terminal.

It will also be an opportunity to meet the representatives of two Life MUSCLES partners directly involved in the event.
In fact, the October 6, on the inaugural day, a space dedicated to the Mediterranean Aquaculturists Association will see the speeches of the new president Luigino Pelà and the director Eraldo Rambaldi. The latter, between 4.00pm and 5.00pm, will present the project actions that aim to make mussel farming is more sustainable by highlighting the important role that an association like AMA can have in coordinating and making innovative tools and knowledge transfer available to its members that emerge from the LIFE project.

Saturday October 7, instead, it will be the turn of Paul Varrella, mussel farmer from La Spezia and president of the local cooperative: to learn about his skills you can join him at 3.30pm at the Arena Oyster Show where he will hold a course on opening oysters.
