Establishing relationships with the category of mussel farmers is essential from the point of view of the success of the project and the dissemination of its results. To inform and sensitize the aforementioned stakeholders, starting from the second year of the project, a program of 12 information meetings which will involve both the pilot areas (La Spezia and Gargano) and other Italian localities where mussel farmers and/or important fishing fleets operate. To make communication more effective and immediate, a peer-to-peer methodology will be used which provides the direct involvement of mussel farmers and fishermen for setting up the meetings.
Subsequently, another opportunity for active participation will start from the last year of the project and then continue even after the end. Interested mussel farmers will be able to participate in demonstration activities in Italy and abroad dedicated to replication of technological solutions developed during the project years and will concern:
- PP socks recycling demonstration replica
- Demonstration replica of the use of BP socks for an entire production cycle
During the last 12 months of the project, the mobile recycling plant will be fully operational and ready to carry out its itinerant activity, it will reach selected areas both in the Adriatic and on the Tyrrhenian coasts, in Italy and abroad, where there are important mussel farming production centers operating in the open sea.
