SENIGALLIA – On the occasion of the arrival of the Goletta Verde, Legambiente Marche organized a morning of in-depth study dedicated to the health of the central Adriatic Sea and the impact of fishing and mussel farming activities on marine ecosystems.

.

"The protection of the Adriatic Sea is an action to be exercised every day with networking activities, projects and awareness-raising - says Marco Ciarulli President of Legambiente Marche -. Protecting marine biodiversity from the effects of the climate crisis and human pressure is a daily necessity, which also involves the protection of the Ancona mussel, currently under severe stress and at risk of extinction. Yesterday, politics rehabilitated the fishing of the mussel, supporting an exploitation that puts the species and the economy that revolves around the mussel at risk".
