Not considering the voluntary abandonment of PP socks at sea which certainly occurs but no data are available, we can estimate one <strong>annual dispersion between 7.88 and 9.45 tons of PP socks<\/strong> in the 2 areas of the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<span class=\"qodef-highlight\" style=\"color: #000000;background-color: #ffffff\">\n\tThe general objective of the MUSCLES project is to contribute to the reduction of the impact caused by the dispersion in the marine environment of the nets used in mussel farms. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The project has a duration of 4 years \u2013 from October 2021 to September 2025<\/strong> \u2013 and a value of about 3 M\u20ac, of which 1.6 M\u20ac financed by the EU within the LIFE Environment projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project partners are: Legambiente (lead partner), University of Bologna, La Sapienza University of Rome (Department of Chemistry), University of Siena, Mediterranean Aquaculture Association (AMA), Novamont, Rom Plastica, Del Giudice Agricultural Fish Society (Gargano) and Cooperative Mussel Farmers Associates (La Spezia).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 70px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Il Progetto Life Muscles Ogni anno in Italia si vendono oltre 70.000 tonnellate di cozze e giacch\u00e9 non c\u2019\u00e8 bisogno di alimentarle, l\u2019impatto ambientale della mitilicoltura \u00e8 pressoch\u00e9 nullo: 0.252 kg di CO2 equivalente per ogni kg di cozze prodotto contro gli oltre 18 kg di CO2 equivalente prodotti [...]","protected":false},"author":10,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"full-width.php","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-3371","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
