There were 40 mussel farmers present and 15 connected remotely for the information meeting held on November 27 in Cattolica. Theevent dedicated to mussel farmers from the Emilia-Romagna region actually involved marine workers from all over Italy thanks to the fact that it is hosted inside theAMA National Assembly The project in general and the two main activities have attracted great attention: the plant with mechanical recycling of the nets and the replacement with biopolymer socks. Many voices of the partners contributed to the discussion, in fact there were: Federico Pliers and Eraldo Rambaldi, respectively president and director of the Mediterranean Aquaculture Association, Marzia Mattioli, project coordinator for Legambiente and Loris Pietrelli, Scientific Manager, Antonina From Marco for the University of Bologna and Paolo Varrella, president of the Associated Mussel Farmers' Cooperative of La Spezia.
Next appointment is the December 6, 2024 at 4:00 PM to Giulianova (TE) dedicated to the mussel farmers of the Abruzzo region.
