At school to reduce and prevent plastic pollution in the sea, three Apulian classes win the LIFE Muscles contest.

The European LIFE Muscles project celebrates World Environment Day by rewarding the works of students who have explored the topic of protecting the seas from dispersed plastics. Three posters on the podium, at the conclusion of a free educational journey that allowed us to get to know the impacts of mussel farming on the marine ecosystem and explore the circular economy solutions proposed in the EduKit provided to schools and developed in various discussion meetings with Legambiente clubs in the area.
The three works were created by students of the 3rd A of the Istituto Comprensivo Via Napoli of Lesina, thanks to the guidance of professor Michela Laurenza and by the 1st D and 3rd D classes of the Istituto Comprensivo Surico of Castellaneta, with the professors Rossana Punzi and Sonia De Luca.
Angelo Giordano, Mirko Cantore and Giovanna Aloisio, respectively managers of the Clubs of Legambiente Iride di San Nicandro Garganico and Mare e Gravine – Castellaneta, awarded project gadgets to Apulian students who were able to launch awareness messages and good practices for citizens and tourists, against the abandonment of waste for the protection of the sea and above all from theplastic pollution.
